Bay Area

About this Chapter

Geography

The Greater Bay Area Chapter of ASciNA encompasses California between north of Santa Barbara and the Oregon border, and Nevada.

Description

Established in May 2002, the Bay Area Chapter of ASciNA is among the oldest groups in the ASciNA network. Our members are scientists and scholars affiliated with Universities in Northern California and major companies in the Biotech and IT sectors in Silicon Valley.

This chapter was founded by Florian Brody and Peter Oefner.
In March 2006, Susanne Pangratz-Führer, Monika Trebo and Sonja Schmid were elected to head ASciNA Bay Area..
Since February 2013, Monika Trebo is heading the Greater Bay Area Chapter of ASciNA.

Our aim is to make ASciNA better known to people within the scientific community in Northern California and Nevada, and to facilitate communication and exchange of knowledge between Austrian scientists and scholars, as well as partners in industry.
