Gerhard König studied Molecular Biology and Scientific Computing at the University of Vienna. After receiving his doctorate in Natural Sciences he became a Visiting Fellow at the NIH-NHLBI Laboratory of Computational Biology. His research focuses on the development of simulation-based methods to predict binding affinities of ligands to their receptors as well as the effect of point mutations in proteins.
